Too tired to write. . .

but here I am with Hello Kitty.

And. . . . if an injured monkey gets on the subway, and you're sitting down. . . you should get up and let the monkey sit down.

I swear that's what it says! :o) The signs in Japan are very entertaining to look at.

Osaka Castle

Today I got lost in Osaka, Japan. I wanted to go to Osaka Castle, but couldn't find anyone to go with me since a lot of the cast went there on the day that we loaded in. So I went by myself. I thought I was smart enough to figure out the subway system here. . . but I missed the subway station I needed to get on and ended up lost. So I took out the map and found my way to the castle on foot. It took me about an hour to trek there. . . BUT I GOT THERE!
Self portrait, and not too shabby I might say for myself. I got the whole castle and my face in it. Yay!!!! Cherry Blossoms are just starting to bloom. So I took a picture to share since everyone keeps asking about them. It's still really cold here, so they're just starting to bud.

Since I walked all the way to the castle, I figured. . . I'll just walk back. So I did. Now my feet hurt, I'll regret it at work tomorrow.

Sumo Wrestling in Osaka

Arrived in Osaka by bullet train. Nice smooth ride, I like the bullet train. Central Florida could really benefit from one that ran from Daytona Beach to Tampa.

After settling into our rooms and lunch, we went to Sumo Wrestling. Quiet aweome!

Sumo Wrestling could possilby be the most fantastic sport ever. It's very civilized, and violent at the same time. The only thing missing was some trash talking. Kevin and I did our own commentary, when they would throw the salt down we would yell, "Your Momma!" Kevin learned how to say it in Japanese, but it doesn't really translate as an insult. Here's some more pics:

Alright, gotta run. Tony wants to go to lunch and I promised I'd go with him. Later!

Time's almost up in Omiya!

Time here in Omiya is almost over. Tomorrow we travel by bullet train to Osaka.

Here I am after load out, boy was I dirty and tired. But look Dad, I'm using my gloves! Yay!

For giggles here's a picture of Marion.

Marion thought it was a good idea to put all his clothes in the wash. So here's Marion sitting next to the dryer looking pathetic because he has no pants to wear.

Walking barefoot in Japan

Tonight our promotors took us into Toyko to see The Who's Tommy. They are also promoting that show as well. . . so free tickets all around! Anyways, I was dressed for the theatre, but didn't realize we'd be walking so much. Needless to say, my feet were killing me so I just took t off my shoes to walk back to the train station. A girl can only handle so many blisters! That's not the greatest picture of me, boy do I look wide. . . . but I thought it would make for a good blog title. . .

In other news, Winnie the pooh live has a new Japenese website just for this tour! Click here to see it! The fourth honey pot from the left has a video clip of the show in English. Check it out! It's so cool!

A rough start in Omiya, Japan . . . and other news

I've been working 9:00 am to 9:00 pm every day this week starting on Sunday.  We've been sewing, fitting, cleaning, painting, gluing. . . everything it seems like.  There was a little rain on my parade when Charlie told me all the things I'm not doing right.  It'll be okay. . . I'm still learning.

Today Pooh did a segment on the local news.  We filmed it at 5:30 this morning.  I am so very very tired.  We decided to work through the day.  Somehow, I think that may have been a mistake.

Also, I got my very first peice of mail today.  Great Aunt Altha sent me a letter.  I was so excited!  Everyong gets super excited on mail day, and today I finally got to be excited too!  Hopefully I'll get more mail as my weeks in Japan continue.

Internet at last!

Hello from Japan!

The hotel here in Omiya finally hooked up my internet. I was starting to go CRAZY! I've read 2 books since I got here. . . no TV to watch, everything is stuff from America that I've already seen. . . or really wacky Japanese TV.

Tomorrow is my first real "offical" day of work. Since I've been in Japan, everyone has been getting over their jetlag and the cast has been doing Japanese rehearsals. Charlie and I have been shopping like crazy trying to find shoes for our Japanese narrator, Meg. Even though it's cold here, the shops have already started to bring in the spring lines. Boots are becoming hard to find. Meg is so short, that she is almost midget-sized next to Tracie. Hope we come up with something good!

So here I am at the kid's play area at one of the shopping malls near the hotel. Charlie thought I was crazy, but it was tooo cute to pass up!

No other real news from here.

Hello Update

Net service has been hard to come by here at the hotel. I promise I'm working on it!  I've also encountered some issues with my digital camera. . . I hope soon it will all be worked out!  Soon I will post fantastic pictures from Japan I promise!

In other news, I've been "let go" from SeaWorld.  They need to hire more people now that they are opening the new Shamu show Believe.  Wetsuits made out of sequins. . . . very odd.  I'm okay with it, they said when I come home they will rehire me.  Good thing I've got MySpace to keep up with my friends from SeaWorld!

Hello from Japan. . . and other news!

I have arrived in Japan. When I got in, it was late Tuesday night. On Wednesday, Charlie and I went out shopping. We're on a hunt for boots for our Japanese narrator. There is so much fantastic shopping here. However, everything is very expensive. Painful for a shopaholic like myself.

Work hasn't started yet, everyone is working on getting over the jet lag. Since I was in Taiwan, I'm completely fine.

In other news. . . . I'm going to be an AUNTIE!!! One of my best friends in the world, Alie, is pregnant!

I have to run, I'm using someone else's net access right now. As fancy as this hotel is, there's no net access and only one key per room. GRRR!

Much love to you all!

Food adventures in Taiwan

Later, after we took Pooh to the mall we went to eat.
That's me drinking a Chinese Coke. Here I am with Angela eating: That was our cook. Kinda like Kobe Steak house back home, but there's no Kobe beef. They cook all kinds of things on the cook top. Here I am with the take out box:
Who knew a take-out box could make a girl so happy? Still trying to get a hang of putting pictures on the blog. Hope you enjoyed! Right now, I'm watching the Oscars with Tony. It's so werid to watch them at 9:00 on a Monday morning!

Pooh goes to the mall

Yesterday, we took Pooh and Tigger to the mall to meet a bunch of kids who made Pooh birthday cards. They even drew Pooh a great big one: It seems that everyone came to see Pooh. Every floor of the mall had people looking down on Pooh, they were so happy to see him:Later things got a little hairy, everyone rushed the stage to hug Pooh.
Pooh was okay. He was just happy that everyone was happy to see him. Pooh really is a jolly bear.

Hello from Taipei, Taiwan!

I'm here in Taipei. The flight was horribly long, and I felt awful. . . but today I'm feeling pretty good. We're almost all over our jet lag, and we're excited about our PRs. (Especially Pooh. . . he was so excited this morning, he didn't even eat all his honey!)

Today we had a promotional event at Green World:

Pooh and Tigger had a great time. The children were soooo happy to see Pooh that they gave him a cake. Pooh and Tigger also gave the Make-a-Wish foundation 100 tickets to the show for when we come back in June.

Later Pooh got to give hugs to some of the kiddies: Soo cute!

I love my new digital camera, I'm so happy I could share this fun day with you!

Project Runway and boredom

Yesterday, I watched television for 10 hours straight.  That's right, 10 hours.  Project Runway was having a marathon.  Since I've missed most of this season because I was in Mexico, I was jazzed.  So while doing some cleaning and packing around the house, I watched Project Runway.  I was hoping that I was gonna see the finale last night, but those bastards are gonna drag it out another two weeks!  GRRR!  Hopefully, Billy, a guy on my tour and resident computer geek, will teach me how to download it off of the Internet.

I've spent this week just chilling out at home.  Spending time with friends and my parents.  For the most part, it's been very nice.  It's been a long time since I just had "nothing" to do.

I'm leaving at 6:00 in the evening on Wednesday, March 1st.  It's crazy to think I'll be halfway across the world this time next week!

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

This is the first Valentine's Day in a very very very long time that I haven't been bummed.  True, I'm still single . . . but I love my job with Disney Live! and everything seems great.

My Mom is a fantastic mother. . . I'm so very happy she's mine.

I know, I'm just rambling. . . I'm tired, and just happy.

:o)

Change in plans. . .

So today I got word that it looks like I'll be going to Japan early.  I'll probably leave now around February 25th, instead of March 6th.  Crazy huh?  or Lucky?

Home. . . for now.

I have come home from Mexico.  At first I didn't want to come home, after all, I just got on tour . . . but now that I've slept a night in my own bed. . . ITS GOOD TO BE HOME!

In four weeks . . . it's off to Japan!

(no subject)

This is my last week in Mexico. I'm currently in a city called Puebla.
I had my own little adventure yesterday. Our washing machine broke and I had to find a way to wash the show laundry before the show. Charlie and I got one of the front desk guys to help us out. Edwardo (front desk guy) and I walked two blocks down the street to a little hole in the wall. Here a woman washes and dries your clothes based on how much they weigh. Edwardo explained to the lady that I was with the Winnie the Pooh show that was in town and our traveling washer broke and that I needed these clothes washed, not dried, before our next show. Since they normally do a full service, wash and dry and it takes approximately a day to get your clothes back, Edwardo bargained that he would send everyone from the hotel I'm staying in to her if she would do this favor. Note that my Spanish isn't that good, but I can get the jist of conversations.
Anyways, the lady said she'd cut me a deal and let me wash it myself for $40 pesos. However, I didn't bring any soap with me . . . so why couldn't she do it? If she did it, it would be $50 pesos. $10 pesos is $1 US dollar. So we're arguing over a dollar here. I insisted that she do it, that way I could have a break and go get something to eat. After much deliberation, it was settled on $50 pesos and she would do it.
This week we've been doing some fun company stuff. We had a Pooh-B-Q (BBQ) with lots of tequila and another piƱata. Last night we had something they call "in-shows" which is basically a talent show for everyone to show what talents they don't use in the show. Marion blew us all away with the help of Leo and Mark. It was so awesome it made my stomach hurt.
It's hard to believe that a week from today I'll be working shifts at SeaWorld dressing penguins again. But really, what else am I gonna do for an entire month?

Hello everyone.

Yes, I know, I have been slacking on my blog posting. But I have a good reason. . . I've had the nastiest cold now for a week.

Last Sunday we packed the show up in Mexico City to travel to Guadalajara. We traveled by plane, when we got to the airport, they held our luggage ransom. They wanted some more money because we all travel with two bags. I was already sick, and my ears were a mess after the flight. We then loaded onto a bus that took us to our new hotel. It's nice as well, all the staff speaks English which is very helpful.

We loaded into the theatre on Tuesday, it was pretty crazy. There was lots of locals to help with the load in. Most of them my age, and very cute! When Charlie and I arrived, the locals swarmed us trying to help. Charlie turned to me and said, "You and your bloody boobs." My response was, "Whatever! You have red hair, so don't blame this on me!" Sometimes there really is too many cooks in the kitchen. The local guys were trying so hard to help us that it was actually slowing us down from working.

This week I'm rooming with Nadia. She's been a lot of fun to room with so far, cause she loves to talk and gossip. I thought rooming with Nadia would really suckm but it's been fun! Sadly, Nadia pulled her shoulder out of socket and had to go to the emergency room. She's been in a lot of pain lately, and they're saying she'll be out of the show for two weeks.

Besides Nadia getting hurt, the show has areally suffered here in Guadalajara. At first out sound system was all messed up because of the electricity in the building. Then, our lighting and projections went kaput on us. Tomorrow we start a six pack for the weekend, hopefully, all technical difficulties will now be behind us.

Sadly, I haven't gotten to see any of Guadaljara yet. I've been so sick that when I'm not at work, I've been in bed. I've been coughing so much that I feel like my lungs are gonna come out. I finally got myself out and went to a pharmica and got some Robotussin. Yeah, stay away from Mexican Robotussin. . . it makes my head very loopy.

Alright, I've got to go to bed now. It's getting late and I'm working early tomorrow.
