Starting in the new year, I will be working for Feld Entertainment. They own the Ringling Brothers, Barnum and Baily Circus, Disney on Ice, and Disney Live. I will be joining the touring production of Disney Live! Winnie the Pooh doing costuming. Another job where I help people get dressed as animals.

Since I will be joining the tour mid-season, I will join on the international leg of the tour in Mexico City on January 2, 2006. The production travels through three cities in Mexico during the month of January. Then everyone gets sent home for the month of February while the set gets shipped to Japan.

We will be spending March, April, and the first two weeks of May traveling through Japan. After that, we will do a quick two weeks in Taiwan. Then I get to come home for the summer at the beginning of June.

I know, it is totally crazy for me to suddenly pick up everything and run away to traveling production. In fact, I wasn’t even looking for a job when they called to interview me. I had actually just had my yearly review with my boss and her boss and we had discussed my growth options for SeaWorld in 2006, when my cell phone rang and they asked if I was interested in working with them.

Everything has been so very last minute. I hardly even had time to give SeaWorld two weeks notice. However, instead of quitting SeaWorld, I have decided to go seasonal. When I come home in summer, I will be able to work again. I really don’t want to sit around bored all summer. Also, I’m not quitting Hallmark either. Seasonal status will be had there as well. I’ve been with them so long that I just don’t think I’ll ever stop being on the payroll!

For Christmas this year, my parents are buying me a laptop. This way I can keep in touch with them (and everyone else for that matter). Speaking of my parents, my Mother is very upset. She won’t even talk about the fact that I’m "leaving" her. No matter how much we talk about that this is the opportunity of a lifetime, she says she rather that I stayed here. I understand, we went through this when I went to Vermont for the summer in 2004. I’m her only child, and she’s very attached to me.

If you would like to check out the tour that I am joining, please look at their website

I'm going to do my best to keep this blog up to date with all my comings and going as I travel.
