Bratislava, Slovakia

Bratislava, famous in such movies as EuroTrip and Hostel. . . . is nothing like it is depicted in those movies. Bratislava is really nice. Their old town area is really picturesque and really lovely to walk around in. The weather is a nice dry heat, and it felt really good. They also have many quirky statues out and about, and a castle of their very own.

Busy busy

We've been super busy the last couple of weeks. The show schedules have been crazy, not to mention rehearsals in upcoming languages.

The next six weeks will be even more hectic as we will switch countries and languages every other week. I can't promise constant updates, I'm getting burned out by the constant working. We're at the part in the tour where everything is breaking or needs work. I had to give Eeyore a bath last week and it took me all day, he's a big donkey and didn't want one.

In other news, tickets for the show for our upcoming U.S. tour have gone on sale. You can check out ticketmaster.com and see where we're playing.

Paris: Day Two, Part Two

After a quick lunch, I headed back into the city after visiting Versailles.
I hit my next stop, the Musee d'Orsay.
They let you take photos in museums without your flash in Paris!

Monet's Water Lilies

Dance at Le Moulin de la Galette by Pierre-Auguste Renoir
Wish you were here Mom!!!
(Growing up, my Mom had a print of this painting hanging above the couch in the family room.)
A famous Vincent Van Gogh self portrait.

Sorry Mom, they only have one Gustav Klimt's paintings:
After I tour the museum, I head back to the Eiffel Tower to see if I can go up.
However, the lines are really long, and I choose to have dinner instead.

Here's a pay public toilet. It's self-cleaning. . . convenient!

Paris: Day Two, Part One

Day two in Paris.
I start the day at a cafe for some breakfast. I trek out to Versailles. It's massive!

I think this following picture turned out really nice:

Talk about a fireplace!

Here's a self-portrait in the Hall of Mirrors.

We just don't do ceilings like this anymore!
The famous Marie Antoinette painting!
What can I say? I really like unique furniture.

Paris: Day One, Part 3

At the end of the Champs-Elysees, you can see this Obelisque and fountain. Here is a shot up the Champs-Elysees, you can see the Arch of Triumph at the far end.Entering the grounds of the Louvre.

Check it out: The Eiffel Tower in the far distance.

Looky looky, it's the pyramid.

Before going back to the hotel, I pass this Joan of Arc statue.

Paris: Day One, Part 2

After leaving the Eiffel Tower, I wander towards the Champs-Elysees and spot a Hermes.
Oooh, look a sign announcing where I have arrived:The Arch of Triumph.

I decide to take the tour of the Arch and to get to the top you have to walk up these sprial stairs.
View from the top of the Arch.

Look, you can see the Louvre at the end of the Champs-Elysees.

The walk to the top on the sprial staircase almost kills me, it's 284 steps!

After I leave the Arch, I wander down the street checking out the shops

and low and behold, the Olympic torch goes by.

It was pretty cool! Then I see some flowers starting to bloom!
