Gaudi's Batllo House

In Barcelona, you can see many buildings designed by Antoni Gaudi. He was a leadeer in the Spainish Art Nouveau movement. On this day, I went to Gaudi's Batllo House which was buildt between 1905 and 1907.

There I am at the bottom of the stairs.

One last shot of the outside.
No trip to Barcelona would be complete without a trip the l'Ovella Negra, aka The Black Sheep. It's one of my favorite bars in the whole world. They serve three things, Sangria, Beer, and popcorn.

Oslo, Norway

When we were in Oslo, Norway we were very busy. Not to mention that it snowed a lot and it was bitterly cold. Also, when we thought things were expensive in Bergen, in the big city things got even more expensive. I only spent one day doing a little bit of sightseeing.

Here I am posing in front of the Henrik Ibsen statue. I was so annoyed that the muesum was closed because it was "season." Henrik Ibsen wrote one of my favorite plays, A Dolly's House. Here's the picture of the Nobel Peace Center. It's a museum about past winners and the man Alfred Nobel. It had really werid operating hours, and I didn't get a chance to go in. But I thought the building was nice.

Norway Bus Ride

When we moved from Bergen to Oslo we took an nine hour bus trip. Here's some photos of the views from the bus:
Here I am eating a hot dog in the snow at the bus stop.

Finally! Internet Strong enough! Pictures from Bergen, Norway

Now that I'm in Linkoping, Sweden I have a strong Internet signal. So to start, here's pictures from Bergen, Norway.

Here is the city square. Either side has lots of shopping on it. Here is historic Bryggen. These buildings date back to the 14th and 15th century. They are apart of the UNESCO’s World Heritage List. They are all made of wood and are located on the waterfront. Due to that, the buildings have a tendency to lean to the right. Check out that door frame!

Here's a few random shots around town:

After I take a nap, I'll get on posting more pictures!

Sitges,Spain; Paris, France and bad Internet

I have tried now for over an hour to post pictures from Norway. The Internet here just isn't strong enough to upload pictures.

After our three expensive weeks in Norway, we were put on a three week "break" in Sitges, Spain. It's a little beach town outside of Barcelona. We had a city in Norway cancelled, then something else happened. . . anyways it was cheaper for the company to put us up in Spain then to send us home.

Last week I took a mini-vacation for myself. I went to Paris, France by myself. I've always wanted to go to Paris, and I finally got to go. I had three sightseeing packed days all to myself, I took over 500 photos. I really want to post photos to show you what I've seen instead of just writing about it, but every time it starts to upload, it just times out. It's really quite annoying.

My first day in Paris I went to the Eiffel Tower, the Arch of Triumph, walked and shopped the Champs-Elysees, and strolled the grounds of the Louvre. On the second day, I went out to Versailles, then came back into the city and went to the Museum d'Orsay, plus a stop at the Eiffel Tower for a crepe. My last day in Paris was very busy. I started the morning by going up Eiffel Tower, then went over to Notre-Dame, then finished my day out by touring the many many rooms of the Louvre.

This upcoming week, which will be our last week in Spain before we go to Sweden, I plan on going into Barcelona to do some sightseeing. When the show was in Barcelona last year I had the flu and didn't get to see much. I hope to do some of the things I missed last year.

Let's hope for some good internet soon!
